Durban International Convention Centre (South Africa)

Kenyatta International Convention Centre(Kenya)

The Kenyatta International Convention Centre is one of Africa’s Best Convention Centres. It  is an icon and landmark for Kenya. KICC boasts of being the leading facility in the meetings industry in East Africa and has held quite a number of regional and international conferences like the World Bank Conference in 1973, Inter-parliamentary Union summit in 2008, other UN based conferences, 8th African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) to name a few. Sandton Convention Centre(South Africa)

The Sandton Convention Centre is one of South Africa’s most prestigious and technologically advanced business and conference centres. The centre regularly hosts world-class conventions, exhibitions, meetings and events.

Situated on Maude Street in Sandown, less than five-minute walk from Sandton City Shopping Centre, the 12-storey Sandton Convention Centre offers more than 22 000m² of events space and is driven by a team of experts.

Kigali Convention Centre-KCC (Rwanda)

Kigali Convention Centre is also one of Africa’s Best Convention Centres. The KCC has 18 different venues which can host more than 5,000 delegates at a time. It features state-of-the-art technology, personalised service and professional facilitation to ensure event success. The Auditorium is designed to reflect the inside of the King’s Palace. This multifunctional facility accommodates a variety of events, ranging from summits with 100 participants to concerts with audiences over 2,500.

The KCC has seven large conference halls, which can accommodate up to 2000 delegates. There is also a pre-function area with moveable partitioned walls for ultimate flexibility. The space is suitable for exhibitions, sports events, coffee breaks, receptions, lunches, dinners and banquets.

The Cairo International Conference Centre ( CICC )-Egypt

The Cairo International Conference Centre ( CICC ) is a mere ten minute drive from Cairo International Airport, a short drive from any one of several five star hotels and a five minute walk from the Cairo International Exhibition Grounds .

It is the only comprehensive conference centre in the country, over 30 hectares of it . Of these , 58,000 sq.m. have been given over to conference facilities that are nothing less than state of the art . The Centre is the very latest in conference facilities to ensure that while everything is carried with the greatest possible efficiency, your comfort and convenience have been seen to .

CICC also has mobile interpretation units and three large rooms or boardrooms each with a capacity of 50 persons for the smaller meetings or receptions or even just for a display area.

Africa Hall (Ethiopia)

The historic Africa Hall is one of Addis Ababa’s landmarks. Inaugurated in 1961 by H.I.M. Emperor Haile Selassie, Africa Hall has been host to numerous meetings and African Heads of State’s decisions, among which was the adoption of the Charter of the Organization of African Unity (OAU). This has been immortalized by the artwork located within the Africa Hall, depicting the founding fathers of the OAU.

The 150-square meter stained glass window in the foyer of Africa Hall was designed by the world-famous Ethiopian Artist, Maître Afework Tekle. The artwork, divided into three parts, tells the story of “Africa Then”, “Africa Then and Now”, and “Africa Now and in the Future”.

Africa Hall is currently under massive renovation in order to transform it into a state-of-the-art conference venue as well as a museum.  By the time the renovation work completes, Africa Hall is expected to be one of the most visited places in Addis Ababa.

Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC)-Tanzania

As one of Africa’s Best Convention Centres, the Arusha International Conference Centre located in Arusha, is the leading conference venue in Tanzania. It is 100% owned by the Government of Tanzania; however, operating without receiving any subsidies. It has a total of 10 meeting rooms which cater for conferences, workshops, seminars, and committee meetings, with a seating capacity of 10 to 1000 delegates. Most of these rooms are equipped with Simultaneous Interpretation Systems (SIS) which can handle up to 12 languages.
